Life's Lessons.

We find life's lessons in the strangest places.

Movies teach us a lot about the happenings of life. But one would not be able to see unless we see beyond what we feel we want to see.

Let me recount my personal experience with a movie I have watched countless times just to have a good laugh.

Most of us may be quite familiar with Tyler Perry's “MADEA" movies and plays. I really love one of the plays entitled, “Madea Gets A Job". A real funny movie that is, and I really love watching it for a good laugh. A few weeks ago, I watched it again as usual but then i caught on something valuable.

One of the old ladies in the nursing home where Madea worked said something that really caught my attention for the first time with renewed interest, though I have heard it several times. She was recounting how she lived her life and was puzzled on how frail she was.

“How did I get here?

When did I get here?

How did I grow frail and weak?

It seems to me as though it was just yesterday, I was strong and full of life.

It seemed just hours ago, I was in my youth.

How I wish I could turn back the hands of time...”

She had just realised that she had not accomplished anything in life and she wished she could go back in time to right all her wrongs and live right.

It was just too late.

What am I getting at here?

Life is fleeting.

Just like a little flower, open, fresh and sweet smelling in the morning;

Dead by sunset.

Will this old lady's thoughts be yours to say in your old age?

Would you be content in your old age?

OR,

Would you be bitter in your old age?

There is an old adage that says,

We use this adage frequently. But let me ask, how many of us really adhere to it?

We need to build up our lives right from our youthful days.

We need to live for today, yes, BUT, we also need to plan for tomorrow because none of us will be young forever.

It doesn't mean you need to be overly wealthy to be able to live a life of contentment and accomplishment.
Do what you can do but do it with tomorrow in mind and leave the rest to your maker.

A life of contentment does not mean live a careless life.

Live a careful but fun life.

Set your priorities straight.

Have your goals and work towards them.

Live a life that even in your old age, you can look back upon and smile not weep.

Be a role model to others in your own small way, even if it is just one person.

Forget the adage that says you only live once.
I say you live everyday and die once.

As long as you live, your actions of today will have an effect on your tomorrow.

Death may not find you until your old age.

When this happens, what will your old age be filled with?

Bitterness for living a careless unaccomplished life full of unfinished works

OR

A life full of contentment and fulfilment that you have achieved all your goals in life and made fun and good memories.

REMEMBER

Every weensy, teensy bit of your actions today will affect your tomorrow.

Choose your path in life wisely. Because,

Your Chosen Path, Leads to Your Selected End.

                                                      CHOOSE WISELY.
